Has the weight of life’s difficulties pushed you down to the point of questioning your faith? It happened even with John the Baptist. Imprisoned for preaching truth that was contradictory to what the religious leaders of his day wanted to hear, John began to have genuine questions about his faith as he began to lose hope. Jesus did not get angry but had compassion and reassured him from Scriptures He knew would be meaningful to this devout Jew who had been suffering for the sake of the long-awaited Messiah even before Christ was hung on the cross.
Shattered dreams can leave us with sincere questions for God. When you and I are tired from waiting, and the world around us causes us to lose hope, we can take our wounded hearts to find answers in HIM, the One who IS Truth.🚦
