“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night. They will serve as signs for festivals and for days and years.
Genesis 1:14HCSB
“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, wise men from the east arrived unexpectedly in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.””
Matthew 2:1-2 HCSB
The practice of astrology takes “signs” from stars, sun and moon and from elements in the earth and interprets their influence on humans. The stars themselves become the focus, but God never intended his creation to be the object of such life-determining attention. God created the sun, moon and stars to point people to Him, as were the wise men who followed the star to Jesus. Learned, worshipful men recognized the significance of the star not for how the star itself could affect their lives, but because the star led them to the object of their affection—the Christ-child. As we look out on all creation, may our gaze be drawn upward to the Creator. Praises His Name!🚦
