“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Hebrew word for ‘fool’ in this verse is ‘nabal’ and is different from uses of ‘fool’ that refer to a person deficient in knowledge. ‘Nabal’ especially refers to one who is wicked and depraved. ‘Nabal’ is a practical atheist. He or she lives, in is his or her heart, as if God does not exist.

“Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the Lord.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭14:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Do you know a ‘Nabal?’ Are YOU ‘Nabal?’🚦

  1. Unfortunately for the selfishness of some Christians, nonchristians do as much good in the world as Christians do. To try to claim that people are evil just because they don’t agree with you is rather childish.

Theists do like to claim that people who don’t agree with them are evil or wrong or some such nonsense. However, since they cannot show that they are right, there is no reason to believe theists who attack each other or to consider theists to have some truth.

I also have to wonder about Christians who really want to call people names but seem to forget this part of their bible. “22 But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister, you will be liable to the council; and if you say, ‘You fool,’ you will be liable to the hell of fire.”
