For those who live according to the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, about the things of the Spirit. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace.

Have you ever found yourself to be so irritable and grumpy even YOU don’t want to be with yourself?! A day or two ago I was so easily annoyed everything was setting me off. Sick of it, I finally slapped myself, figuratively, that is, and said, “You are definitely not walking in the Spirit.” Right then I stopped and said a quick prayer to ask God’s forgiveness for going in alone and letting myself become like the rest of the world, and i asked Him to change my heart and mind. Within no time at all, I found myself with a smile on my face and lightness in my heart. My situation had not changed. God simply renewed my mind.
Heart attitude is not dependent upon circumstances. It is dependent upon walking with the Holy Spirit. Admittedly, I’ve not been spending near the time in Bible study and prayer that I need to keep me in close communion with the Father. This weekend is a good chance for all of us to dive right in.
