Shortcuts. Who doesn’t use GPS or a map in search of the quickest route to their destination? This is exactly what Eve saw in the forbidden fruit: a shortcut to wisdom. As with amassing material wealth, foolish people will try to circumvent the hard work that goes into acquiring wisdom.
