“I do not call you slaves anymore, because a slave doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from My Father. You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.”

Jesus considers you and I His friends! He chose YOU! He looked at you and saw value in you. He has hand-picked you to help grow His kingdom. Sure, He could have done it all by Himself, but He chooses to do it with friends. And He doesn’t want us to do it on a one-shot basis but to stick with Him and to stick with those we usher into the kingdom. He teaches us by example that love sticks together.
The longer we stay with Jesus, the more and more aligned our thoughts are with His. Our requests are more likely to be aligned with His will, and He can give a resounding, “Yes!” Isn’t it awesome to know that you can ask what is truly in Jesus’ name and it will be given?!
Today, remember God calls you “friend.” 🚦
