Most, if not all, land sports have athletes utilize a “ready stance” position for either mobility , stability or a combination of the two. No matter the sport, a ready position is a stance of preparedness in which a person is best disposed for action or reaction. Legs tend to be apart for a wide base of support, knees bent with weight shifted slightly forward and arms flexed. One is poised for whatever comes at them when standing this way.
Likewise, Christ followers like you and I needs to keep our minds in “ready position” with our hope not placed in things of this world but in the grace of Jesus, eyes set on eternity. Poised with this mindset we maintain a right perspective of the crazy going on around us day in and day out. Is your mind in “ready stance?”🚦
